Who owns hockeytown cafe

Stop here every game which is a couple times a year. Downstairs is crowded, upstairs much easier. Maybe we should give it to the dude on the sidewalk but my instincts tell me he doesn't want pizza?? Nice old bar repurposed for this classic Motown pre-game spot. We stopped here for dinner before a Red Wings came.

Union Assembly - Woodward Ave, Detroit. Mom's Spaghetti - Woodward Ave, Detroit. Detroit, Michigan. Union Assembly - Woodward Ave. Mom's Spaghetti - Woodward Ave. One of the people in our group spoke to a manager, inquiring as to when we'd get our food. He came to the table and acted as if he could care less. He said that Hockeytown isn't using OpenTable anymore, and that I should have received an email to tell me instead I received an email confirmation.

When we told him we had been there an hour and a half and still didn't have our food, he told us that they have hundreds of customers, as if that was a valid excuse.

My husband and I had ordered a pizza and asked for a little extra sauce but our pizza came with virtually no sauce if there was sauce on it at all, I couldn't see it or taste it. Since the bad service already was making us late for getting seats to our show, we didn't bother asking for it to be fixed. We used to really enjoy Hockeytown. Now, we don't plan to ever return. Good food, but menu is small.

Probably will go again. We booked a reservation for pm and they did not take us in until over an hour later. We came all the way from Toronto to watch the Penguins play and was almost late for the game since we were waiting so long for a table. The manager did not seem sympathetic either for making us wait and neither did the staff.

The place is under staffed and we were delayed even longer for our drinks. The atmosphere is nice but I would not return here. Be prepared if you book 2 days in advance not last minute to wait up to 45 minutes to be seated! One manager stated he had reserved seats waiting up to an hour and no hostess had used those tables yet.

People seated without reservation before those with! Reservation does it guarantee a seat I guess. So much confusion. Clearly the hostess desk needs help!!

This practice has had us rushing through dinner so we could make Red Wing puck drop!! Management needs to make this flow better. Tell customers without reservation they will be seated up to hours later. Make for a better experience for everyone!

We were seated approximately 25 minutes after our reservation time, 40 minutes after we checked in. The service was fast once we were seated and the prices were very reasonable.

Game day so super busy. You can reserve on open table but wait staff seemed shocked that they allowed reservations on game day. Were seated relatively promptly and service was good. Food was about what one would expect. This is somewhere you go for atmosphere and convenience close to stadiums. Wait team friendly. We had a reservation. Was seated promptly. The place was packed before Red Wings game. Food came in a timely manner. Food was tasty and hot. Please confirm status on the venue website before making any plans.

Best for Families. Hockeytown Cafe. Good for Groups. Hockeytown Cafe is garish and gaudy, with the one of the brightest video screen and ticker scroll outside, along with a gigantic hockey puck and images of Wings legends.

The inside is massive, memorabilia-choked and always crowded. The beer is cooled by a seven-inch-wide "ring of ice" and the food is more varied than the usual sports bar fare. HTCafeinfo hockeytown. Book A Table. Add To Collection. Email Location. What's Nearby? Similar Locations.
