So, the Bottoms Up pumps are fast, can hook up to any keg and — provided you have the rest of your gear clean and properly adjusted - you won't waste beer via foam. But there is an obvious problem: waste of those glasses. Instead of a glass glass, which can be re-used over and over, these are designed to be disposable, to the extent that the little magnetic discs are pushed as an advertising opportunity:. A magnet on the fridge of the American household gets 20 impressions per day per person in the household, making this ad space the most viewed souvenir taken home from a venue.
That also means it is taken home from the venue! Still, who cares about that, right? If anyone knows of any other great inventions for the world of bartending then we would love to hear about it! Having worked within the hospitality trade for over 15 years I've done a lot. My passion is creating a winning team that blows the competition away. There is no greater feeling than seeing the staff's achievements. So share away and let's all be better bartenders.
Would you like to buy us a drink? Just saw this on Stumbleupon and was blown away. Such an interesting concept. Curious though, are these glasses throwaway or are they re-usable?
Also, I would assume you have to buy the cups from them right? Yeah they are designed to be throwaway, the real money is in the branding of the magnets at the bottom of the cup. Play that right and they will pay for all of the glassware used. And yeah they have to be bought straight from the guys at bottoms up.
